DETROIT — The N’Namdi Center for Contemporary Art exhibit entitled “50 Years of Abstraction” showcases the many different ways that abstraction has manifested itself over the past 50 years.

Abstract art consists mainly of shapes, colors, textures, lines and other non-representational forms working together to create a piece.

Abstraction is the condensing and distilling of images into other forms, the reduction of information into form and the transformation of intangible into the visual. Abstraction is the unseen, seen.
