Camp Fabulous to focus on beauty and health through the performing and feminine arts
DETROIT — Camp Fabulous is a hands-on program that guides young girls ages 7-14 through a variety of activities from modeling, dancing, acting, arts and crafts, manners and stage presence.
The focus of the camp will be placed on the development of character, self-confidence, grace, self love, physical fitness and positive self expression. Participants will also learn valuable etiquette skills, including personal grooming, social graces, style and modern manners.
The camp runs June 24 to July 5, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. A culminating program for friends and family will take place July 6.
During the camp, participants will be surrounded by positive affirmations, team-building exercises, dance fitness and other projects that are intended to enhance their lives. The instructors and staff are working dancers, models, designers and artists all dedicated in uplifting the youth.
Guest speakers from various creative careers will also share experiences, skills and knowledge with the girls to assist with expanding their view on what fabulous really is. Healthy lunches, uniform and supplies are included in the tuition of $275.
