Opening day drunk

A white woman was sprawled on her hands and knees drunk in the street on John R and Adams as thousands of us looked on waylaid by new Comerica Park metal detectors on site to ensure the safety of Opening Day Detroit Tiger baseball fans.
Finally, the weary arms and knees gave way and the Tiger-jersey-wearing white woman passed out in the street as two law-and-order horses adorned by policemen gazed down at the human catching a vitamin D-laden sun nap in the D.
You ask, Sam what does her race have to do with it? Race, white privilege, has every damn thing to do with how this drunken white woman was treated in Detroit. Let’s turn to my Facebook page for clarity.
Daniel Rider: “Lock their asses up for public intoxication! U wouldn’t be able to do it in her neighborhood! Laying in the gutter drunk then when something happens to her the news wants to say, ‘look at that BAD city ‘Detroit’…”
Marti Murphy: “I wonder how the cops would treat her if she were not white or of a different class.”
Frances Mills: “I raised my children in downtown Detroit high-rise apartments and was very disappointed that our European neighbors believe it is acceptable to come into our community get drunk, urinate in public, and disrespect our city and our families and we allowed it.”
As I walked from the ball park, I saw the potential of Detroit as a destination even as I was troubled by a carefree attitude of “anything goes, it’s Detroit.”
Leave your weapons at home. LOL.
As one who one-day-at-a-time remains sober I know firsthand the power of alcohol over an individual if we allow it. I also know the unequal manner individuals of different races and class are treated by the criminal justice system. The drunken white woman was shown love as she was carted away for treatment not cuffed headed to lockup. What will happen on Belle Isle? EMS or handcuffs? Play ball (equally)!
Understand there is a direct connection between how the Ilitches have been awarded corporate welfare by the Detroit City Council lackeys for the Negro EM proxy of democracy-destroying union-busting Governor Snyder and the Wild West white privilege carnival underway in a Detroit where the dominant population is totally dehumanized and disrespected by the profit-first power elite of Gilbertville.
We must never let haters cause us to lose hope or dislike ourselves and never let haters make you weak in your faith. Keep the faith. Stay on the battlefield.
