Sex assault ignored?

Where is that Dem running for governor? The Michigan Democratic Party is on life support while the democracy-destroying-union-buster Governor Nerd, rebrands as a good guy showing up as a do-gooder at Focus: HOPE to distribute food while Nerd’s legislative bully friends in Lansing are whacking Detroit and single female headed households every time they get a chance.

Whoa, a Mark (can’t recall his last name) sighting! The Democratic Nerd knockoff candidate was on “Let It Rip” and had it handed to him by former Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox who felt free enough to quote Coleman Young as Cox compared Mark whazz’s name to Jesse Jackson who drew Young’s ire “he ain’t ever run nothing but his mouth” said Young of Jackson once upon a time. That’s going hard, real hard, people.

Rip tutorials are available for Democrats that commit to do a Detroit Raw East-side walk-about.

A TWEET: “The wolves of Michigan should’ve hooked up w/political wing of Michigan doves. At least 10 wolves have been whacked. Not 1 dove went down” (as a result of the doves defeating a proposal to hunt doves that just didn’t fly LOL).

It was great to see and hear Lavonne “Coolamama” Cargill speak at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit prior to a National Action Network viewing of a Reverend Al Sharpton’s MSNBC special on gun violence. Ms. Cargill is one of the Detroit mothers who have lost children to violence featured in the hard hitting nationally acclaimed Sharpton feature “50 Years of Guns.”

Last week, the Michigan Citizen published a front page story about an alleged sexual assault of a pregnant Black woman at a Detroit check cashing store. What is mind boggling is the silence is so damn deafening on this issue that screams for attention and action.

It is clear race and class bias are intertwined to make a woman who may be the victim of a serial violator feel she has done something wrong by reporting the alleged incident of depravity.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s office is running DNA tests, but this is a case where the community may have to stand strong against those who are known for disrespecting Black women and the majority citizenry of Detroit.

Amid  allegations from the sister who was four-months pregnant when she was allegedly sexually assaulted at one of those check cashing money makers on Aug. 14, Oya Amakisi organized the Coalition for Justice and Respect for Black Life to protect and advocate on behalf of the 30-year-old African American woman.

A coalition press conference demanding action and a shutdown of the check cashing center is scheduled for noon on Nov. 29 in front of  the Gratiot Check Cashing store on the corner of Gratiot and Knodell. Maybe some of the radio and TV talk show revolutionaries will show up to lend some support beyond word play. If you have knowledge of more victims, call 313.731.2268.

A last TWEET: “Not so reliable sources: John Conyers fed up w/Horace Sheffield’s disparaging age comments, Congressman challenged Sheffield to a 40 yard race”

We must never let haters cause us to lose hope or dislike ourselves and never let haters make you weak in your faith. Keep the faith. Stay on the battlefield.
