Detroit Raw by Sam Riddle

Hunkered down

Hunkered down in Detroit mind snacks are layered to survive negative-41Arctic-like wind chills generated by Gore global warming.

Mayor Mike Duggan

Mayor Mike Duggan

Raw is well aware the democracy destroyers are allowing the Detroit City Council and Mayor Duggan to operate under the illusion of democracy so we won’t question why America is not working in Detroit. I almost feel like a play-by-play announcer for a bowl game during this Detroit transition.

The Negro proxy EM of Governor Nerd is still the bottom line decision maker for Detroit affairs and has the guns of the Michigan State Police to back him up if there is ever any confusion. Be clear, democracy is dead in Detroit. Duggan got permission from the handkerchief head Negro proxy of Governor Nerd to execute a personnel action to remove the head of DDOT. We are witnesses to the illusion of democracy at work in Detroit the city where democracy died but the buses will run on time dammit!

Still it was fun tweeting: “No Crazy Azz Weather, #Detroit Democracy Destroyers, Nor Media Hypocrites Stopped Council From Meeting/Electing Brenda Jones Prez- Push Cush.”  Support resistance or never be free.

Meanwhile embittered former Council Prez Jenkins was maneuvering for a “reconsideration” of the vote that ousted her. Your days as an enabler for democracy destroyers are over Saunteel. Let it go.

George Cushingberry

George Cushingberry

Council pro tem George Cushingberry was right on in his response to the Detroit News. The arrogant bias of Detroit mainstream media must be checked.  Hell is what they give us; Hell is where they belong.

Cushingberry shouldn’t have said “deal” out loud even if that is the deal. Detroit is not Lansing. There are infinitely more investigative reporters, FBI agents/informants and agent provocateurs per square foot in Detroit than in the state Capitol. Tread with care George as you Push Cush. It was a very savvy Cush move not taking a city car and cell phone. Who knows, Cush may yet live up to the potential he once displayed as a man-child politico.

Duggan is a student of history. The miserable weather provided an opportunity for Mike to prove that his is the can-do team.  The white stuff makes for slow trash pickup but Duggan worked the press, garbage trucks and snow plows getting off to a great start in most neighborhoods as Charlie Beckham cracked the whip. Score one for the D team.

Jewell Ware

Jewell Ware

Political karma embraces Duggan seniors GOTV expert Jewell Ware as she low-key whacks nemesis Keith Williams who was front man for those who removed this Black woman from the seat of Wayne County power when Ware was Chairwoman of the Wayne County Commission. Williams is attempting to reinvent himself after working on the ill-fated Napoleon mayoral effort even claiming to have delivered a key vote for Brenda Jones for council president. Hey, all the votes for Brenda were key. And that councilman and his father know their way around Detroit politics without fear or need for a guide — just saying.

During investiture services, a preacher, Keenann Knox, got up and ranted like an echo chamber for Republican legislative bullies that use Detroit as a whipping post when their poll numbers are down; Knox railed on Detroit’s leaders being a national embarrassment and said those days are over. Interesting how this preacher did not say one word about America’s hypocrisy of touting democracy the world over when in Detroit democracy was shut down with imposition of an emergency manager. KMA.

Sam, give it break, it’s a new year. New year for whom? We catch hell year in, year out. Go hard year round or get out of the way with that liberal crap.

Note to the police chief: Hollywood PR does not work in Detroit. If you feel safer because of police media spins seek help. A tweet: Detroit law enforcement in denial about media intoxication sooner or later will base policing on coverage & and branding. R.I.P. Aiyana. We must not allow fear to trample on the U.S. Constitution in Detroit.

Congrats to my Spartans (’72) for winning the Rose Bowl.

We must never let haters cause us to lose hope or dislike ourselves and never let haters make you weak in your faith. Keep the faith. Stay on the battlefield.
