EFM coming for Detroit

It appears there will be an emergency financial manager in Detroit. How do you feel about that?
It takes away the rights and privileges in Detroit. They are taking us back to post-slavery when we were sharecropping. Detroit will not have a voice; it will be a dictatorship. It seems like the Detroit vote did not even count. Didn’t we vote about the emergency manager?
— Connie Malabed
I think it would be interesting to see where things go. I think the people that decided that it was best for the city are thinking about the long run. It may be painful for the city of Detroit in the beginning, but we will see.

They starving people out. The game is called buy low, sell high. They are full of it. That is how it goes when money is involved. Dave Bing thought his condos were going to be put up as mayor and that didn’t go through, so now he doesn’t care. I would only agree to an emergency financial manager if he or she were from Detroit. They must live in the city to care.
