The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) Detroit will host guest lecturer Dr. Khalil Muhammad, Director of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, located in Harlem, New York. Dr. Muhammad will discuss his recent text, The Condemnation of Blackness: Race, Crime and the Making of Modern Urban America.
