First Saturdays at Ambiance

DETROIT — Ambiance Ultra Lounge in Detroit held its First Saturdays party March 2, where selected drinks were $5 and admission was $10 before midnight.
“I have been doing First Saturdays for a little over two years now and it’s cool,” said DJ Steady Rock, who spun the latest tracks all night.
The crowd numbered well over 300 people, some celebrating birthdays and others just looking for a night on the town.
Quanique Sykes celebrated her 34th birthday.
“My family is here to celebrate my birthday with me and it’s all good,” she told the Michigan Citizen.
Club promoters from all over the city came to support the atmosphere at Ambiance Ultra Lounge. “I’ve been doing parties here for a year; tonight is not my night, but I showed up,” said Tim Warren of Who’z Who Production. “It’s usually a good crowd, good music and good food.”
Ambiance Ultra Lounge has a full menu and two floors for party-goers to have a good time. The club has a Power Hour from 10-11 a.m. where they hold drink specials. Every Sunday is Old School Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon, where there is a free buffet, door prizes and wine. Birthday parties are free and there is also First Friday parties hosted by Independent Sound, Steady Clownin, D.A and Motor City DJs. Admission and drinks are $5 all night.
