DETROIT — LT Graphics Services and Artist Showroom Holiday Extravaganza began Noel Night at 71 Garfield in Detroit.
Detroiters celebrated Noel Night with LT Graphics while they displayed their artwork. The company provided free hot apple cider for patrons as they entered the room.
LT provides art, graphics, business cards, web design and billboards. They also have an artistic showroom that includes jewelry, clothing, candles and sculptures.
Lititia White, owner of LT Graphics, has been doing art and graphics for over 20 years and taught graphics at Michigan State University for two years.
“I have an overhead now and I branched out and morphed into this artist showroom. In my graphic work I always incorporated fine arts and I wanted to see how I could pull it all together.”
White says she enjoys the creative side of her work and enjoys client feedback.
“They appreciate my work and that feels better than money,” says White.
Christie Urgo de Lozano and her husband shopped in the store. They bought three scarves.
“This is a beautiful store — beautiful staff and great shopping consultants. I came out for Noel Night and I ride past here all the time so I came in to show my support,” says Lozano.
Michael Murdock, staff of LT Graphics, had his own corner of the room where he hosted arts and crafts and wood sculptures.
Murdock says he taught himself art design, as well as how to create sculptures.
“I make my sculptures with all recycled material and I travel all across the world doing it. I made a lot of my sculptures in France, Germany and Detroit. I enjoy the freedom of my work,” says Murdock.
LT Graphics extended its Noel Night gathering to Dec. 6, for a networking event that included music, food and dancing.
