Juanita Eunice Clark
Juanita Eunice Clark was born in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on July 22, 1922. She was the third of five children born to William Coleman Young and Ida Reese Young. She began her career working for the federal government as a clerk during World War II. Dedicated to fighting the ills of racial and social injustice, Juanita became a union activist. She finally retired from Wayne County Community College as an administrator. She is survived by her daughters Patti Lynn Bell (Ronald) and Cathy Curry; sister Bernice Grier; three grandchildren: Shaunn Moore, who proceeded her in death, Adrienne “Alex” Moore, and Johnnie Curry; and a great-grandson, Jaleal Bell, and a host of other loving family and friends.
