MAJOR CRIME SUMMARY REPORT

DETROIT POLICE / CRIME REPORTNOTE: The following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.

1st Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 2 at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the Milwaukee/Woodward area, the 44-year-old male victim was leaving a local business when he was attacked and robbed by three suspects. Taken were a black wallet, containing ID and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The victim sustained minor injuries.
WANTED: Suspect #1: Black male, 18-20, 5’ 11”, 200 lbs., dark complexion, beard, medium Afro; wearing dark blue jacket, blue jeans; armed with a black handle knife. Suspects #2 and #3: Black males, 18 -20.

4th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 30 at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the Bassett/Outer Drive area, the 20-year-old male victim and a friend were driving in the area when an unknown suspect pulled up behind them in a vehicle and began shooting at him. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the body. The victim is listed in stable condition.
WANTED: Suspect: Unknown, armed.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 30 at approximately 12:45 a.m. in the Martin/Michigan Ave. area, the 35-year-old white male victim was leaving the local business when he was approached by four unknown suspects, one of whom shot the victim in the body. The suspects fled the location in a green van in unknown direction. The condition of the victim was not reported.
WANTED: Suspects: Latino males, 16-18; one armed.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 31 at approximately 7:40 a.m. in the 8000 block of Gartner, the 20-year-old victim was warming up his vehicle when approached by an armed suspect, wearing a black ski mask. Suspect took victim’s red 2002 Dodge 1500 Ram up truck (license plate CKP0580). No injuries.
WANTED: Suspect: White male, 5’ 9”, 170 lbs.; wearing black ski mask, all black clothing, armed with a weapon.

5th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 27 at approximately 6:10 a.m. in the 4800 block of Cooper, the 19-year-old male victim was asleep and felt pain. The victim stated he was accidentally shot by a neighbor who was visiting his home. The victim is listed in stable condition.
WANTED: Suspect: Black male, 19.

6th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 27 at approximately 12:40 a.m. in the 19800 block of Schoolcraft, the 22-year-old female victim pulled into the location and was carjacked at gunpoint by two unknown suspects. The suspects escaped eastbound on Schoolcraft in the victim’s vehicle. Taken were a white 2010 Toyota Corolla (license plate # CNK 1457, VIN #1NXBU4EE1AZ167904), vehicle keys, an iPhone 4, a brown purse, credit cards and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The vehicle was recovered at 3 a.m. at Burgess and Keeler. No injuries.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 29 at approximately 6:35 a.m. in the 17500 block of Grand River, the suspect was observed inside the local bank, by corporate security video monitors, stealing coins. Taken was an undisclosed amount of U.S. coins. There were no injuries.
WANTED: Suspect: Unknown.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 27 at approximately 10:15 p.m. in the 14200 block of Crescent, five perpetrators pulled up in a black Dodge Durango and robbed and assaulted the 35-year-old male victim. Taken were a four-door, black 2005 Cadillac CTS (license CMJ 5364), vehicle keys, a Kenneth Cole wallet, ID, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The Dodge Durango was later observed and pursued by officers. At Warren/Ashton, suspect #1 bailed out of the SUV at, turned toward an officer with his weapon, and was shot by the officer. The suspect was conveyed to the hospital and is listed in temporary serious condition. The victim is listed in stable condition. The four other suspects were placed in custody.
ARRESTED: Suspect: Black male, 26.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 1 at approximately 9:15 a.m. in the 6000 block of Memorial, the 32-year-old male victim was shot during a verbal altercation with the suspects. He was listed in serious condition.
WANTED: Suspects: Two Arabic males, armed and in a red Ford Explorer.

7th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 2 at 1:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of Gratiot, the 75-year-old victim was in the parking lot when she was approached by suspect who stated she was stranded and needed a ride downtown. The victim gave the suspect a ride, while driving suspect produce a weapon and ordered victim to pull over and robbed her. Taken were an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, a black, four-door 2009 Chevy Malibu (license plate # 3AJR60). No injuries.
WANTED: Suspect: Black female, mid 30s, 5’ 4”, 130 lbs., medium complexion, wearing a baggy black coat with a hood, tan knee-high-boots, and armed with a weapon.

8th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 27 at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the W. Seven Mile/Gilchrist area, the 30-year-old female victim was leaving the local business when she observed several people standing outside of the store. As the victim walked out of the store, an unknown suspect grabbed her purse and fled the location in a vehicle (Silver Pontiac Grand AM, license plate #DAV5362) along with four other persons. Taken were various miscellaneous items and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. No injuries.
WANTED: Suspect: Black male, 20-25, 6 ’0”, dreadlocks, medium hair length, clean shaven, light brown complexion, small build, mole on right cheek; wearing a black jacket vest.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 30 at approximately 7:45 p.m. in the 19900 block of Telegraph, the 63-year-old male victim was approached by two unknown suspects who robbed and assaulted him. The suspects then fled northbound in the victim’s vehicle. Taken was a black 2014 Chrysler 300 (license plate # BWE 0218), followed by a dark colored pick-up truck. Victim refused medical assistance.
WANTED: Suspect #1: Black male, 25, 210 lbs., medium complexion, large build; wearing black baseball cap, black half face mask, gray sweater and armed. Suspect #2: Driver; no other description given.

9th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 29 at approximately 3:25 p.m. in the 12600 block of Kilbourne, the 21-year-old male victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body by an armed suspect riding in a black Dodge Caravan (unknown license plate), occupied by four other suspects. The victim is listed in critical condition.
WANTED: Suspect: Black Male, 21, 6’ 0”, 160 lbs., light complexion; wearing a gray or white hoody, a black skull hat, and armed.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 30 at approximately 12:25 a.m. in the Manning/Westphalia area, the 19-year-old male victim was approached by three unknown suspects who took personal property from him then shot him in the body. The suspects then fled in a full-size gray van in an unknown direction. Taken was a jacket. Condition of injuries was not reported.
WANTED: Suspects #1–3: Black Males wearing masks, one armed with a handgun.

10th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 31 at approximately 9:15 p.m. in the W. Davison/LaSalle area, the white female victim was struck approximately two times by an unknown vehicle. Suspects escaped in an unknown dark-colored vehicle. The victim is deceased.
WANTED: (2) Suspects: Unknown

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 31 at approximately 10:15 p.m. in the Ewald Circle Oakman area, the 46-year-old victim was exiting his vehicle when approached by armed suspect who announced a hold up. Taken was victim’s two-door, grey 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo, (partial vin # 360785) with a dent on the hood. No injuries.
WANTED: Suspect: Black male, 5’ 7”, 150 lbs., medium complexion; wearing dark clothing, green baseball cap, armed with 9mm weapon.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 2 at 6:40 p.m. in the LaSalle/Richton area, the 46-year-old female victim was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by two suspects. Suspect #1 demanded money. Taken was an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, both suspects fled on foot. No injuries.
WANTED: Suspect #1: Black male; wearing ski mask, black sweater with hood, tan Carhartt, green pants and black boots. Suspect #2: Black Male, mid 20s, 5’ 0”, dark complexion; wearing ski mask, black sweater with hood, tan boots, black pants, black coat and armed with a weapon.

11th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 30 at approximately 2:48 a.m. in the 19100 block of Woodward, the manager of the local business discovered the front drive through window broken out, things knocked over, and the three front cash registers missing. Surveillance camera showed two unknown suspects taking cash from three register drawers and attempted to break into the safe. No injuries.
WANTED: (2) Suspects: Unknown.

12th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb.1 at approximately 4 a.m. in the Linwood/Fenkell area, the 16-year-old female victim was leaving a location when someone fired shots, striking her in the body. She was listed in temporary serious condition.
WANTED: Suspect: Unknown and armed.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 29 at approximately 5 a.m. in the 18000 block of Schaefer, the unknown suspect used a vehicle to push in the garage door to gain entry into the local business. Taken were two battery cable jump boxes. No injuries.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 30 at approximately 8:03 p.m. in the 7000 block of W. Seven Mile, two masked suspects entered into a local business. Suspect #1, armed, demanded money. The 35-year-old female victim complied and the two suspects fled on foot. Taken was undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. No injuries.
WANTED: Suspect #1: Black male, 18-22, 5’ 8”, slim build; wearing a gray fleece, gray pants, white gym shoes, red shirt, armed. Suspect #2: Black male, 18-22, slim build, medium complexion; wearing a black hooded sweater with hood, black mask, black pants and gray gym shoes.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 30 at approximately 8:20 p.m. in the 18200 block of Mendota, the 34-year old male victim was cleaning his vehicle when two suspects in a blue minivan parked behind him. Suspect #1 exited from the driver’s seat and produced a weapon and order victim to empty his pockets. Victim complied, the suspect fired one shot. Suspects escaped in victim’s vehicle. Taken was a four-door, 1999 tan Chevy Lumina (plate # DCM 4242) and a Samsung flip phone. No injuries reported.
WANTED: Suspect #1: Black male, 18, light complexion, short black curly hair; wearing a dark hooded sweater, blue jeans and armed. Suspect #2: Black Male, (Driver) dark complexion.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On the Feb. 2 at approximately 1:55 a.m. in the 3000 block of West Outer Drive, the 44-year-old male victim was found lying face down unresponsive. The victim is deceased.
WANTED: Suspect: Unknown and armed.

13th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Jan. 31 at approximately 9:20 p.m. in the 2000 block of Cass, the 32-year-old victim was exiting a local business when he was robbed by suspect at gunpoint. Taken was the victim’s children’s Social Security Cards, an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and miscellaneous items. Suspect escaped in a Silver Ford Taurus or Dodge Neon. No injuries.
WANTED: Suspect: Black Male, mid 40’s, 6’ 1”, 175 lbs., light complexion, mustache, armed with a silver handgun.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 1 at approximately 8 a.m. in the 800 block of Glynn Court, the 20-year-old male victim was shot while sitting a black truck. The circumstances surrounding this incident are unknown at this time. The victim was listed in temporary serious condition.
WANTED: Suspect: Unknown and armed.
