MAJOR CRIME SUMMARY REPORT

DETROIT POLICE / CRIME REPORTNOTE: The following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.

2nd Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 12 at approximately 1:15 a.m. in the 7000 block of Vaughan, the 32-year-old and 30-year-old Black male victims were both shot by the suspect. Circumstances are unknown at this time. Conditions are temporary serious.
WANTED: Suspect: Black male, 31, 6’ 2”, 250 lbs. and armed with a weapon.

4th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 23 at approximately 1:25 a.m., officers from the 4th precinct were able to identify and locate a suspect wanted for a robbery that occurred in the 5600 block of Toledo the previous night. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended without incident and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing.

6th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 12 at approximately 3:20 a.m. in the 15000 block of Joy Rd., the 21-year-old Black male victim was sitting in his vehicle when the suspect tapped on the victim’s window with a weapon ordering the victim to get out. Taken were a four-door white 2002 Mercury Sable (Michigan plate DCA 8571) and vehicle keys. There were no injuries.
WANTED: Suspect #1: Black male, 5’ 3”, 130 lbs., medium build, dark complexion, goatee, small mustache; wearing a long tan trench coat, gray sweater with hood and black pants. Suspect #2: Black male, 24, 6’ 2», 160 lbs., light complexion, wearing a red and black Al Wassan leather jacket and True Religion blue jeans.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb.12 at approximately 8:35 p.m. in the 17000 block of West Warren, the 23-year-old white female victim was entering her vehicle when the suspect opened the door and announced a robbery. The suspect dragged the victim out of the vehicle and robbed her. Taken were a green 1997 Chevy Cavalier (Michigan plate DBQ 7869), vehicle keys and an iPhone 5C. There were no injuries.
WANTED: Suspect: Black male, 28-30, 6’ 0”, 200 lbs., brown eyes, black hair, goatee, mustache, light brown complexion, medium build.

7th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 12 at approximately 6 a.m. in the 1000 block of Chene, the 40-year-old female victim was cleaning the snow off her vehicle when she was approached by the suspects. The suspects ordered her away from the vehicle. The victim grabbed her purse and walked away. Taken were a gray 2004 Chevy Impala (Michigan plate CPL 6529) and vehicle keys. No injuries.
WANTED: Suspects: #1 and #2 Black males, 16-19, 5’ 7”, thin builds; wearing black sweaters with hoods zipped up covering their faces; armed with weapons.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 23 at 2:10 a.m., officers responded to a call in the 3700 block of E. Jefferson for an assault. When officers arrived the suspect was taken into custody and 13 baggies of heroin were recovered from the suspect. The suspect was taken to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.

9th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 12 at approximately 11 a.m. in the 14000 block of Harper, the 48-year-old Black male victim was in a known drug house with the two suspects. The suspects asked the victim for a ride to the liquor store. The victim obliged them. The suspect produced a weapon and robbed victim of his vehicle. Taken were a white four-door 2006 Chrysler 300 (Michigan plate BZD 3837). The vehicle was later recovered unoccupied at Camden and Coplin. No injuries.
WANTED: Suspect: #1 Black male, mid 20’s, 5’5”, 130 lbs., medium complexion, short Afro, hazel eyes; wearing gray pea coat, brown pants; armed with a weapon.
Suspect: #2 Black male, mid 20s, 6’ 0”, 160 lbs., medium Afro, wearing a black jacket and black pants.

10th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On Feb. 12 at approximately 5:50 p.m. in the 11000 block of Dexter, the 14-year-old Black male victim was arguing with the suspect and another person. The suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim. Then the suspect fled from the location. Circumstances are unknown if the parties were on the bus or waiting for the bus. The victim is in critical condition.
WANTED: Suspect: Black male, 50, medium brown complexion; wearing a black skull cap with a red “D” letter, a green jacket over an orange sweater with a hood and black pants.

11th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On, Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2:15 a.m. officers from the Tactical Response Unit were patrolling the block of 5900 East 7 Mile, when they investigated a suspicious vehicle that was running, parked and occupied by several people. Upon further investigation, two handguns were recovered and a suspect was taken into custody for CCW. The other citizens were released at the completion of the investigation. The suspect was conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center without incident.
