NAN National Convention
Detroit Chapter National Action Network members (above) traveled to New York City for the 15th annual NAN National Convention April 3-6. Detroit NAN President Charles Williams, II received the Dr. William Augustus Jones Memorial Award from NAN’s Ministers Division. Panel speeches and discussions included topics on protecting the right to vote; eliminating gun violence in urban communities; addressing health issues and economic empowerment; creating quality education systems in urban areas; and various other topics. Rev. Al Sharpton founded NAN in 1991.
