DPL HIGHLIGHTS

DIVISION 1

East — Cass 5-1, Denby 4-2, East English Village 2-4, King 1-5

West — Renaissance 6-0, Western 5-1, Mumford 1-5, Ford 0-6

DIVISION 2

East — Southeastern 6-0, DIA 3-2, Osborn 2-3, Pershing 0-5

West— Central 4-2, CMA 4-2, Cody 3-3, DCP-Northwestern 1-5

PSL baseball results, May 2:

King 17, Renaissance 4: Kenneth Ball pitched four innings with four strikeouts and two hits for Detroit King. Clemia Jackson had two doubles, three RBIs and scored one run. Avonte Maddox had a double, a triple, two RBI and scored three runs. Renaissance’s Rafael Galindez had two base hits and scored one run.

Pershing 11, Central 1: David Crockett stole three bases and had a home run for Pershing. Mustafaa Watley had two RBI and Kai-Kenya Harris drove in one.

PSL softball result, May 1:

Renaissance 20, Ford 3 (4 inn.): Chloe Ostoloza struck out five in two innings as the winning pitcher and went 2-for-3 with a triple for Renaissance (15-3, 6-0 PSL West), while Erin King went 3-for-4, Jazzmaine Hammond hit a two-run home run and Kiara Harris had two hits.
