The Fillmore parties in black

DETROIT — Detroiters went for a night on the town dressed in black this past weekend for the Ultimate Black Party at the Fillmore, located next door to Fox Theatre. Complimentary buffet, VIP and three floors of fun filled the space.

“I have been attending the Black party for the past two years now and it has been getting better every year. I pulled out my favorite black dress for this event,” says Maisha Stewart, a Detroit resident.

The Ultimate Group has formed a household name for itself. When people think of the Ultimate Group, they think of style, class and trendsetting. Imani and Marini Richbow, collectively, are one the sponsors and co-founders of the event. These women have displayed innovation and new ideas to the party scene of the city of Detroit for over 10 years.

“We create a safe and fun environment for people to network and have a good time. We have been successful over the years and we have to thank the city of Detroit and the celebrities that frequent our parties,” says the Richbows, who are identical twins.
