Wayne County ‘goes red’
Responsible for one out of four deaths in the U.S. annually, heart disease is the number one killer of American men and women. On Feb. 7, Wayne County employees wore red to work to raise awareness about heart disease and the American Heart Association’s ongoing battle against it. February was recently designated American Heart Month and Feb. 7 was National Go Red Day for Women. The Wayne County Department of Health and Human Services provides residents with information on staying “heart healthy.” To learn how to keep your heart healthy, call 313.224.0810.
